Then one summer working as a Security Guard at a Fairground, I overheard an Evangelist preaching from a Gospel Tent. Being drawn at what was said, it was the first time hearing John 3:16. After the service was over, I approached the preacher and asked him several questions about what he said about the Lord. He asked if I was saved and the response was "Yes, the church has saved me"! He then smiled and gave me a gospel track "Are Roman Catholics Christians"? took it home along with a French Gideon Bible in which I still have today. I read it once then threw it under my bed. Then the next morning, woke up in a cold sweat and was so convicted that I reached under my bed and read the track again and then on April 28, 1986, I accepted the Lord as my personal savior! My father was very upset with me when I got saved since he was Roman Catholic.
I left working at CYFF radio because I felt that type of music played did not uplift the Lord. It uplifted the devil instead. I met a missionary Jack Manly from Greenville, SC who had a church in the Saint John area. I told him about pursuing a career in radio and then the following fall I was accepted at Tabernacle Baptist College in Greenville, SC. Not only I got a bachelor in radio but studied in Theology too. Then moved to Atlanta, GA to teach and go to Georgia Baptist College in College Park, GA to receive my Masters in Theology.
While on vacation in TN with my roomate from college I was first introduced to Praise 96.3 and the ministry of Rev J. Bazzel Mull. I loved the music so much that I decided to apply there in 1992 and was hired. I now work the weekend morning shift Sat. & Sun. 6AM- 2 PM and serve as Assistant Music Director. I am married to my lovely wife Wanda Sue and have a daughter named Kimberly. Since then I have received my Masters in Radio Broadcasting in 2005.
May God richly bless you is my prayer!
